there is a local pawn shop near me called traders mart, there is 2 locations in one city, they buy sell trade, kindof scetchy ghetto place but i have seen some real treasures come throuhg there, they have a car audio section and ushally dont have that great of subs or speakers but amps, well someitmes ule see a gold nugget there lol here is a list of some of the amps i have seen there and prices if i remeber, i picked up a mint ppi 2150m for 60 today, they test the equipment infront of u before you leave.

audio art - alot of them 200ms, 50hc, all the good ones

pg - ms amps, xs, amps, saphire

zapco - 360.4 for around 140 i think

kicker xs100- 200

ppi- pro mosfets under 100

xtant 1001 - 300 i belive

all old punch amps cheap

tons of sound stream refence ****

jl 3004 - 200, 5001 - 200, e4300 - 125

i know how that goes man, i go to a few of them around here every once and a while to just see if anything is good. my buddy picked up a ppi250 for $40, is a nice amp. i havent bought anything, kuz nothing has caught my eye that made me have to have it yet

I used to go to the pawnshops in bad parts of town and buy equipment that was underpriced, then I would clean it up and take it to a more "high end" pawnshop that sold only clean, nice-looking gear, and sell it at a profit. I bought my forst RF Punch 200ix with the proceeds of such sale. My best score was an Orion 225HCCA that I bought for $60, cleaned up with windex, and sold the next day for $200. SCORE...

I always kept my purchase receipts, in case the gear that I bought in the bad part of town was stolen. The "recipient" shop ALWAYS compared their stock lists to the police records.
