I used to go to the pawnshops in bad parts of town and buy equipment that was underpriced, then I would clean it up and take it to a more "high end" pawnshop that sold only clean, nice-looking gear, and sell it at a profit. I bought my forst RF Punch 200ix with the proceeds of such sale. My best score was an Orion 225HCCA that I bought for $60, cleaned up with windex, and sold the next day for $200. SCORE... I always kept my purchase receipts, in case the gear that I bought in the bad part of town was stolen. The "recipient" shop ALWAYS compared their stock lists to the police records.
