went cliffdiving v.pics

Biggest cliff i ever jumped was 80ish feet they say, felt like forever, and its was early morning (2-3am) and I was half in the bag
Stupid jump, but fun as hell
No way in hell would I ever do that, The one I jumped was ~30 feet and that was more than enough for me, lol.

that was my guess. from shore it never looked that high. when i told people from home i was going to do it, i was like "uh it's like 25 feet"
then as soon as i jumped, and realized how long i was in the air for i just thought "this is way more than 25 feet" lol
Still a fun jump tho man, we used to jump a railroad bridge at 54 feet and its still a little rush... learned years ago my depth perception was not as good as i thought it was and hit the water balls first.. not a great feeling..

But where u jump from looks like f'n paradise.. how are you liking it out there ?? you did move out there or something right?

yeah i moved out here in the beginning of march.

and i love it as far as the area goes. miss friends and family though. I'm moving back tomorrow because i'm getting ready to start doing the auto show work again, so i want to be home when shops start getting work, instead of having them call me and be like "yeah give me a week to move back home"

i plan on coming back out after the auto show season is over again though.

but it is paradise. my day consists of this pretty much every day. Wake up, eat breakfast, go for a 30-40 mile bike ride, come back home, eat lunch, go lay on the beach for an hour or two, go snorkeling, come home, play video games, sleep, wake up and repeat all over again.

i rented a moped last week and went and checked out a whole bunch of the island, put nearly 200 miles on the moped in my first day lol.

Wow dude, you f'n ****!.. it sounds great , but i know what you mean by missing home too.. I was supposed to move to Kauai a few years ago for a job out there, but i couldnt leave the "big island" so i ended up moving to san antonio instead, and love it.. I dont know man, i think living on an island might get to someone from the mainland after some time no matter how nice it is..

What kind of biking you do ? road or mtn?

road biking. i picked up a vintage SR 10spd as soon as I got out here, and i try to get at least 30 miles in everyday, plus whatever i put on it using it to go do stuff

Thats fun..
heres a video of me jumping off a 42ft cliff 3 years ago....Ended up hitting the bottom once and it was 20ft deep.. Rather scary....A little later I somehow got water in my ear big time a few jumps after that...Hurt like a mofo..Doubt I do this jump again...

lol how drunk was the person taping?

but i was actually kind of worried about hitting the bottom, because out here, the beaches are like all reef, so yesterday i went snorkeling and made sure to go check out what underneath the highest part of the cliff, and i couldn't even touch the bottom when i tried to dive down to it so i figured as long as i didn't land on a sea turtle or a jellyfish i would be alright.

i was actually going to have this guy use the video on my camera to shoot my jump, but the sun was setting so i was afraid it would just be all glare

Wow that shot is awesome. what part of Ka'anapali was that? I spent all of last summer their working tile with a friend, I miss it
it's at Black Rock. It's the cliff that's right in between airport beach and black rock beach. let me see if I can find it on googlemaps...
