i told him he has a week max to get me my sub, or i want a refund. he says no, you cant get a refund. you already paid. and the sub is in clearwater (3 hours away) he says if i want it so bad, go pick it up or ill have to wait until he decides to get it. what the hell kind of service is that? i will never, EVER, go back to this shop again except when i pickup my sub. i told him to have them send it to him and he said ok, but I have to pay shipping. what a prick

I'm in Clearwater. Tell me where teh sub is before 5 o'clock, and I can try to get it from whatever ******* is holding it hostage for you.
no its ok. he called and its being sent to his shop. the shop is called razors edge in citrus county, its a POS shop but the only one within reasonable driving range

well the REAL excuse is was i put 200.00 down payment on a set of RE XXX components. then i told him they were to expensive and i couldnt get them. so instead of refunding me, het let me buy some of those boston 8's. wtf does it matter? hes making money either way. i was going to get my money back and buy some RE8's instead... wtf is the problem....

You told him he has a week to get your subs? Can you give us a little more details how it came out to this? Did the manager tell you that you possibly have to wait? When did you pay for it?

Well, the manager could've easily handled this better. You can't tell a paying customer, "If you want it so bad, go and drive 3 hours to get it." That's just bad business. Though a lot of business owners have that mentality that they don't need their customers or some ish.

In hindsight - You SHOULD have told him you'd be highly interested in the sub if he would get it to the shop.

You might as well be making an ebay purchase with a slow shipper.

This type of practice (among others) explains why so many people have no problem going with an online retailer vs the local shop idiots.

I know there are some good shops out there, but paying the premium for a face-to-face experience is no guarantee it will be better.
