ok so i have an orion d2400 hcca amp rated at 1200 RMS and just ordered the 2 12" orion hps in the orion bandpass box

will it be louder then my friend who has two 12" L7s in a ported box and a kx 1200.1 .. it is quite loud but he has bad voltage drop .. and im thinking mine will be louder

WTF if his is in a SUV and yours is in a CRX than you will be louder.

but i must add that another friend of mine has the same orion box and subs with the hcca d1200 rated at 600 rms and his sounds just about as loud as the L7s and its in a SUV

Uhh... that's not a bandpass box. That's a regular dual-chambered ported box.

But 2K watts @ 96 efficiency is impressive, however, only being able to go to 30hz is a bit... unimpressive. My subs can go to 5hz, and they're teh ****.

in the same vehicle i think the kicker would be a bit louder.(more cone area w/ square subs) just my opinion. either system should sound good and loud though. both make a very good product.

nope. your amp does 1200 x 1 @ 1ohm but im sure does more like 950. so thats like 475 per woofer, in a bandpass box. he has two l7'sn getting artound 600 a peice. you have yours in a trunk, his is in a cabin. you will not be louder until you build your own box, get some perful electrical, a single 15 and 2000 watts. that would be the easiest way
