hope it will sound okay. may not be the prettiest but it should work lol. for my oa 15 its 3.5 cubes tuned to 31 hertz with 45* corners and it is double walled i have not put on the top or second face plate. but other than the extra calk and glue everywhere that i am working on getting off. its going good. what u guys thinks???

yeah i don't have quite enough wood. and i cut my port hole too big cuz i measure where the port was instead of looking at what i wrote down and the port had moved so i was off by half an inch. but i put another piece in the gap and wood glue / caulked the living crap outta it lol so it pretty muchly part of the board. plus another face is going over that. so all I'm worried about is smoothing out the walls of the port.

looks good, my friend an i r also building our first box, everything is going ok, we r gonna have to use a **** ton of caulk or liquid nails for the gaps, but otherwise the only problem is the sub cutouts, he tried using a router, but the hole was too big and misshapen, so we r probably gonna get his dad's friend to do it with the proper tools and it's kind of a specific diameter

i just used a jig saw. pretty easy lol. and i just posted on ur post too lol. i got the one hole cut to mount it. now the ***** is gonna be cutting the second hole to flush mount it. cuz ill actually see that hole...

That is actually not all that bad. Cut the whole to match the first one. Then drop the sub in and trace around it, which should give you a nice "snug" fit. Then just pop it all off cut out around your trace line, sand it a bit to smooth it out a little and your done.

sorry auto correct. meant have not shave lol

i wanna carpet it. but i feel like id end up ruining it? like id try to put the seams on the bottom anyways. but for the cut out for the sub and port do u tuck it into it or just cut it off right at it?

anybody know what those plastic things are that u can stick on the wall of ur box and run the wire to that then out of the box so u don't have to run the wire through the port or out a crack?

Radio Shack has those littlequick connect terminal things you are talking about. Or the back of alot of old scrap speaker boxes, from your house!

Oh, and here is a good video on carpeting. if you dont get a contact buzz from watching these guys.

Someone else will have to answer that one. Iv never used them. I like the idea of using a bolt....Its can be hidden pretty well to, I think.
