well, I ordered my new subs...

aiming for 145dBs in a sedan...
see what happens I guess...

I seriously hope they fit!!!

already paid for the subs...
I can always sell the other two subs, for what I paid for them, maybe more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

vehicle is an Aristo... you might know it as a Lexus GS300? you might not aswell... haha

I have about 300 litres (10cuft) to work with, and thats after MDF and woofer displacement... this is assuming I build the box IN the trunk...

Ill start making something out of cardboard tomorrow, and see if it will fit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wish me luck!

Im going to attempt a 4th order bandpass...

a fairly small one at that...

130litres sealed, and 70litres tuned to 65Hz... and thats total for the 6 woofers.

should give a -3dB point of 40Hz, not as low as I would like, but, see how it goes.
u can fit 6 12's in there

i seen some1 fot 3 13w7's in a 4th order bandpass in there so 6 12's should be no problem

if u want ideas hit me up i got plenty

80

wow your putting in 6 12's with the hope of hitting 145!! Man if built right that is possible with 1 or 2 of those 12's
its a musically tuned setup, in a large sedan, with seats that dont fold down.

one of these subs, in a musically tuned box, off about 400watts will do high 130's in my friends car, so, I figure 145dB is a fair aim.

I wouldn't even want to begin to imagine what the shipping on a big-*** box for multiple twelves would be from wherever said box builder is stateside to Adelaide, S Australia //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I wouldnt be paying someone to make a box for me anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

edit: I have just realised, that unfortunately these pioneer subs are made in CHINA... the previous ones were made in Mexico, and were great bang for buck.

I am yet to hear how these Pioneer 307C subs go reliability wise, but I guess Ill find out... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
