well hell....need major help

I was just downloading something on the internet and all of a sudden all these icons where coming up on my desktop and all this adware,spyware,malware eveything they make thats bad started installing on my computer well i used ad aware and got rid of about 80 things but my computer is running really slow still and so is my internet browsing.

So i need help on what to do. what to download to mostly fix it all please repsond thanks.....free btw

Maybe try Spybot, I'm pretty sure it's free.

If it's feasable - just reformat and re-install XP. Get the Corp Edition from someone on the forums so you don't have to worry about online activation. When I ran Windows I did that once every other month. =\
