why is Brandon a dumbass??? You sound like THE dumbass if you arent reading and trying to comprehend the material... do you think welding is a joke? Why did you take the class? You should take it very seriously... study that shit and know it by heart... you will NEVER get a job without the basic knowledge... ever seen a tank blow??? ever got third degree burns???, electrical burns???... dont be such a freakin *******!! -- you started the thread and if you cant handle the feedback then don't post. Pay attention to these guys... most of them know what they are talking about.... I myself was a welder of water line equipment for 5 years... water at 160 PSI is no joke!!! My manifolds HAD to hold and I had to know what I was doing!! Get over your high and mighty teenage self, swallow your pride and take this information provided to heart.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gif dude my dad just bought a $12,000 Lincoln squarewave, pulse tig and there ain't nothing the defense dept. can do about welding machines..........x2.
My calc teacher has a $4000 TIG welder that can synthesize just about any wave you could imagine. He has welded aluminum as thin as a coke can but he can only go as thick as 3/8" with his skill. His welder came with a certificate from teh department of defence stating it is illegal to ship it out of the country...that's how acurate it is in the right hands.
hmmmm....by accident i picked up a 800 degree piece of M series steel, all it did was melt the first 2-3 layers of skin before i dropped it. i don't think you could actually burn it off.is it possible to burn your hand off welding? maybe if you touch the hot metal? but that would burn it..not burn it off? im confused. maybe if you were trying to weld an oreo to a metal coupon like the guys in my class today were trying to do..and the oreo caught on fire..and your hand caught on fire. thats the only way i see possible.
