Half.com sell...something seems weird

I had 4 books up on half.com for sale. I got an e-mail saying I had sold one of them today so I checked into my account and it showed an ADDITIONAL sale that I had not gotten notice of. I thought that was strange, so I looked into the person's e-bay profile. It no longer exists. That seems strange to me. I suppose it's possible the person simply created an account to buy that book, then cancelled, but I dunno. Payment has already been received but it just seems weird. Anyone have anything like this happen to them before? I wouldn't worry about it right now but it says that I have to ship this particular book by tomorrow afternoon.

BTW, I have e-mailed the buyer and asked whether or not he wants the book still, but I'm not sure of the likelihood he'll get the e-mail since he's un-registered altogether.

never had it happen but heard of it. Seems to be more common now. If payment was received, send the book the the address and be done with it.

If you can't find the address because the person didn't leave one in the notes or the profile was deleted before you could get it, don't worry about it until you get an e-mail from an ananomous ebay user concerning the auction.

Well, apparently payment hasn't been received. I just checked the payment history section and I've only got one pending payment and that's for the book I recieved an e-mail for selling. Weird stuff...

Sucks man.. I wouldn't doubt if someone were to do that with something more expensive, but a book?? hehe.. Oh well.. Just forget about it.. Obviously they didn't want it anyway..
