Weird sound balance between my 2 channel

So after listening to the amp and new 6.5s I installed today I found that the right side speaker was more powerful than the left. To make it sound even I had to put my balance on the HU to 2L to take away some from the right. The speakers are used but they work fine so I don't think that is the problem. Is my amp putting out more power from one channel than the other? How could I tell?
