i have a HU with one pre amp output. one set rcas runs to my sub amp from there to the speaker amp. now, my problem is that im getting sub distortion on high notes. now i dont any type of filters on my HU no, HPF or LPF. could this be the problem as to why im getting distortion on ONLY high notes? its an L7 in a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned @ 35Hz.

you shouldn't have "high" notes coming through your sub.

You might want to look at getting a crossover to filter out the highs from your sub amp.

It sounds like a mechanical problem with the sub. Take the sub out of the enclosure and play those songs at low volumes and listen for it to happen.

Hmmm... deja vu....

Did you ever take the **** thing out of the enclosure to see if the spider has come loose? That is a common issue and can sometimes only really be noticeable on higher bass notes.

yea, i did. it sitting on my sofa next to me. everything seems fine. no vc rub. nothing.
