Nothing Is Promised
Ok my friend has a Kenwood MPV5025 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mLj9plU3ULN/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?I=113MPV5025) in a 1992 GS. He has had some VR3 amp powering an Infinity 1030W sub.
He picked up a PA1502 yesterday for cheap and wired it in. Worked flawlessly. Then a fuse blew (not his power fuse) IIRC it was for his fuel pump.
Anyways, he took the amp/sub out last night since it had to be left at Best Buy overnight since he couldn't move the car. He got the new fuse, brought the car home, and reinstalled the amp/sub just like he had before. But now there is a humming/thudding noise when you change songs (CD) and turn on the radio. My first quesses were RCAs and ground. The ground, sure enough, was extremely loose. Cuased a lot of noise when you moved the ground wire wit the loose bolt (obviously lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif)So we fixed that, all nice and tight, no paint, etc. But there is still the thud/hum noise. We even tried new (they are like 10yrs old but yeah) RCAs. Noise is still there...
Only thing I can come down to is the deck? But it worked flawlessly yesterday? I am stumped. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
