Weird little issue here...

Alright, started installing new speakers in my '85 Monte SS today, Audiopipe 3.5s up front and Powerbass 4x10s in the back. I'm running a Kenwood KVT-617DVD Headunit. I have all the speakers wired up and working, however it plays loud and clear on the driver's side and you can very faintly hear the music coming out of the Passenger side speakers. I've tried fading left and right, front and back and i'm getting very faint music out of the passenger side...even at higher volumes Am I overlooking something?

I forgot to mention that this is only while playing a CD/DVD...when you're playing the radio...the speakers all work fine...wtf? lol

Called a local audio shop and they said maybe my head unit was biased? Anyone know anything about that? I replaced the speaker leads on the pass. side and it was still really faint.

I've had the same problem w my HU for awhile now.

Front left gets little to no sound even at higher volumes.

I figured the HU blew the output to that speaker.

That has to be what happened, I just bought a new deck so I will test it when I get it in.

Yeah atleast u have another deck already to swap it out with.

thats really weird that it doesnt do it with the radio on though...? if its a bad speaker output.. wouldnt it not work all the time

I missed this part, but mine is the same for both radio and cd.

If its not a difficult swap, I'd do it just for test purposes.

I know my channel is gone.

Yeah I realize I posted this that day, for whatever reason it didn't seem to do it when the radio was on but does now. It's up for sale anyway in the classifieds...I'll make someone a good deal on it! Thanks for all the help!
