ok this is whats goin on with my system, i just install an amp week ago to my comp. spkrs, is a alpine mrp f2oo 4 chann. and i got a blzer and is attached on the back of the backs seat and when im driving down the road for about 35 min with windows close looks like the amp shuts off, and engine noise start coming out of the comp tweets, the music keeps coming out when that happen but not as crispy and clear thats when i figured out the amp is off, anyone knows if amps shuts off there will be no music coming out or its just how i explained? and as soon i open my windows about 2 secs later then evrything came back to normal and it last like tha for about another 15 20 min if i close mywindows back up, is it overheathing? osr something? and how could i fix that problem? should i buy an electric fan or buy i little cooler filled up with beers to keepit cooool?

overheating is what it sounds like

since the amp is on the back of the seats make sure it is mounted with the heat sinks running up and down

also what guage wire are you running to the amp for power?

if its too small it could be heating up the amp

mine did the same thing but it wasnt the amp it was my deck so maybe try a different deck.

to baller: ist not as easy as saying it my deck is just 6 months old and i pay a lot i dont think is deckproblem gotta be something with wiring or like they are saying the the gain,

NOW when you guys talk about GAINTOOHIGH how should i know where is the proper position to set the gain there is some numbers but is not like 1-10, can anyone tell me how to set the gain on a 40 watt x 4channel amp?

thankx:furious:

dude seriously what kind of deck do you have if its some cheap piece of crap then it might be i've had the same problem with mine and with the gain thing lets just put it this way 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest so one would be outting out less watts and 10 would be putting out more its a no brainer

dude dont u read? i got a kenwood Z727 you are saying try another deck how im supposed to do that just keep buying decks until finally get the 1 that work with my amp?and you r saying that the gain got the number from 1 to 10 mines doesnt thats why im asking it got like 1.1 1.5 some like that, sure its not a brainer if it was from 1 to 10
