i went there 3.5/4 years ago for a launch and took the tour and all that. if your not really interested in it thenya its not too exciting but hell i thought it was awesome. we watched from some town across the water and could feel the rumble...it was sweet. it did get delayed 2 or three times and we were going to leave if it didnt take off that day so it was great that it was a go and we were able to see it.
I know exactly wewre you are talking about. I was there when I was 17. the space shuttle took off at 2 am and event though we were 3 miles away you could feel the shockwave. When the space shuttle launched it literally turned night into day. made the sky blue and the whole nine:eek:

i think the closest you can get during a launch is 2 miles away, so you were in like the second row.
