I've not ever seen a launch but I was present when it returned once.

Sadly seeing one land isnt any big deal...

i went there 3.5/4 years ago for a launch and took the tour and all that. if your not really interested in it thenya its not too exciting but hell i thought it was awesome. we watched from some town across the water and could feel the rumble...it was sweet. it did get delayed 2 or three times and we were going to leave if it didnt take off that day so it was great that it was a go and we were able to see it.

I met a fella in south Texas that had shoehorned a turbo MR2 motor into a Prizm the same body as mine.

There's a dragstrip in Hallsville, TX.

Some years ago there used to be a fella who ran a VW Beetle (old-school..late 50s, early 60s model) with a 500cid Caddy motor out there.
