profile isn't really a bad company. they make a decent product especially for the price.i'd take profile over dual
I was gonna help this kid til he started spouting off his theory on speakers.
Good luck and have fun with your flea market setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Hmmm... what constitutes 'bass'? Does playing midbasses down to 30Hz count?Shit! Do I fail, too?????[/QUOTI\
If you have BASS and not MID BASS then you fail 2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Care to explain into more detail or are u just making up random guesses?Speakers = 100% treble, 0% bassSubs = 100% bass

There is no requirement for a MONO amp on subwoofers. Nor is there anything that says mono amps are strictly for subs. Many companies have sold smaller mono amps for front stage duty over the years. For any substage, you will want a MONO amp. It is one channel and plays low frequencies.
Yes Dual is not a very well recieved brand here on the forum, but everyone starts somewhere I understand that.
A decent set up like stated b4 me, would be the kicker comps. They can be had relatively cheap online, and are a great deal for the price. Depending on the quantity and size you choose you will have to decide your amp.
The amp is generally what you should spend most of your cash on, because getting an amp that will give you the real amount of power you need to subs is not cheap. Look on ebay or the for sale section here to find a deal on an amp.
A few good amp brands are Kicker, Rockfordfosgate, alpine, hifonics, are the most commonly known. Some of the people on here run more expensive ones like sundown, but i doubt you need to jump there yet.
My first set up was two 12 inch kicker comps and a zx300.1 substage. Very nice for a first set up.
Just remember once u start enjoying the bass, you will eventually want it louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
haha u cant really say, spend more on oen or the other.. cuase i spent more on the sub.. 8w7 powered by the t3002. $300 to $100.. sound was good. but not wat i expected.. well. the 8w7 blew, and i bought a s12l7. the soudn was still not as good as i was hoping for. didnt reach the range i wanted. so i upgraded my amp to bxi1606d and it sounds alot better. i dindt think an amp could change much in terms of the sound, but it realy got to what i wanted for the bass. i say save up for a more than decent system for both ends. There is no requirement for a MONO amp on subwoofers. Nor is there anything that says mono amps are strictly for subs. Many companies have sold smaller mono amps for front stage duty over the years.
Id recommend spending most of the money in the budget on the speaker(s) themselves, and less on the amplifier. The speakers will dictate the final over all sound much more than your gain block (amp) will. And with the price of watts what they are today, imo stating that he should 'spend most of his cash' on an amplifier is not sound advice.
