Pimping a Stro'
sorry i have to be the a$$ of the thread since im a lil lost on the rest Supa C what is your avatar about?
Clearly it's not 9000w, but if the measurements are done w/music I could see a spike getting nubers like that, especially assuming there's at least SOME clipping going on.http://www.bcae1.com/voltages.htm
As for the DMM giving an average reading... I doubt he's getting 9000+ RMS out of that thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
Generally = Not always
If it does measure average voltage, my guess would then be that he's clipping the sine wave, which would increase average voltage significantly ...
Ament brotha! That's why I hate sites like that Concept site......all it does is confuse people and make them think they know their amps true wattage.Regardless - I think we've proven the point that a power measurement that's this un-controlled really has no meaning - theoretically OR in the car. And we haven't even considered impedance.
