And there were numerous safety devices installed yet it still happened...what would have been nice is if we were "allowed" to drill in much shallower water or on dry land, but alas the greenies have taken over our representatives in gov't and no longer allow it...so, we are stuck with drilling miles and miles out to sea and in ridiculously deep water. Personally, I would think the environmental wackos would be happy. The oil and gas companies are doing what they wanted them to do.
