Ok. I was thinking.(before I start I am not a smoker) Lately with the big craze of people trying to stop smoking and with obesity rates going through the roof I kinda wonder if any of it is tied together. I have noticed everybody I know that has quit smoking put on moderate to massive amounts of weight. So I was thinking does that mean smoking keeps you from gaining as much weight as you normally would or just the fact you quit the habit you turn to eating (I figure most will say this option). Then I started thinking of all the people I have met in my life. And if you take the average people (non health fanatics) smokers vs non smokers by far there are more skinny smokers than heavy smokers . And out of all the heavy people I knew a MUCH great percentage of them did NOT smoke. And as a whole the smokers seem to be much skinner on average... I had my friend do this kinda "funny" test because I know it holds no validation unless on a bigger scale and he came to the EXACT same conclusion out of all the people he knows (about 150 lol). But I wonder if smoking causes you to be skinny. Now question is. Does anybody know somebody that was kinda chunky BEFORE they started smoking for the 1st time in the life and what happened.
