I have a 2001 Ram 2500 quad cab diesel....right now i am running my 6.5 mids on a mdf plate in the doors and the tweeters in the stock location in the a pillers.

What i really want to do is move the 6.5 and tweet set down in the kick panels but my question is do i attempt to build my own or just buy some q forms and call it a day.

I plan on putting a pair of 6x9s i have in the classifieds probably in the doors... they dont seem to be too hot of a an item and sound great. I think they will fill out nicely and help with mid bass.

OPINIONS PLEASE!!!

I would sound deaden the doors, put in a 6x9 component system and enjoy the better full range sound up front. I get pickup trucks in here far more than cars, and it doesn't seem like a fun job to relocate things at the kick panels and then have to worry about your legs blocking the sound.
