Hey guys, I am new to the forum (if the number of my posts doesn't tell) and I have decided to upgrade my sound system in my car. Unfortunately for me, I bought a Nissan Altima with the Bose system in it, and every single thing has to be replaced to get a decent sound system...

Now on to what I am looking for... I am not sure off hand the setup, I have background with Alpine, and have enjoyed the system. I am leaning towards going with a Type-R setup all around, but may do a Type-S setup to keep on a budget but still increase my SQ.

Purchased Amp

Purchase Pending Saturday locally for 6.5 comp and 6x9, still need 5.25 coax and may still consider other 6.5 comp and 6x9

For Speakers, 1 set of each:

6.5 component, 5.25 Coax, 6x9 coax

Looking to stick around specs of speakers such as Alpine Type-R's

Looking also for a DEH-80PRS or DEH-X9500BHS new/warranty but will consider used/refurb if comes with all original accessories.

Shipping will be to 23606

I can do a new Clarion CZ702 for $180 shipped. This has 3 pairs of 5V preouts, 5-band parametric EQ, iPod/iPhone support, Bluetooth, front Aux, rear USB, HD radio Ready, SiriusXM Ready, and if you ever want to run your front speakers active it can do that too.

From what I can tell, compared to the DEH-X9500BH, it has the 5V preout instead of the 4V. other than that the Pionner has everything +1

The CZ702 is more on par with the DEH-80PRS. They differ in a few ways, but they're both for the person who wants the option of running their component speakers without the passive crossovers. This is the main selling point for folks on the forums.

That brings a good question, would it be beneficial to run with 4ch amp hooked to 6.5 front and 6x9 deck, then HU hooked to tweeter/5.25 rear door? Right now I will be using the crossover that comes with whichever 6.5 comps I get (Probably Alpine Type-r this saturday)
