I"m 22 and i know theres a chart somewhere that shows the average, skinny, obese weight/height differencial chart.^^ well it depends how old are you and yeah i definately dont have skinny body type, i was overweight most of my life and to gain alot of muscle you need alot of lean fat.... i just turned 20 and i wont be happy until im at least 230 of muscle....id like to know what the average is...
anyone out there whose 6'2"....what do you weigh?
-RunI'm sure I'll get flamed for this... but I'm looking to lose some weight. I'm 16, 5'11" and 210lbs. I've gained 50 pounds in the last two years and it's just disgusting. I enjoy fast food way too much.
I own a gym membership to LA Fitness and they had a promotion when I first signed up for a personal trainer for real cheap... so I have access to a personal trainer at the gym for the rest of the year. Only thing is, he's skinny and when I was strict with the appointments at best I just toned up around my arms, but that's about it.
I don't mind cooking for dinner/breakfast, but I'm never too sure what to eat and I'm not going to try some recipes on Google. At school I have lunch at noon daily for 30 minutes, and the school menu is Pizza Hut and all this fattening shit... so most days I skip lunch and make up for it later //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Also, I remember people discussing protein powder and shit in some threads here... not sure if I should go out and get any or what not. I would be so comfortable at 180.
Does anyone have any recipes that are healthy, recommended eating schedule and protein supplements and all that advice? This forum is predominantly male, and I'm sure some of you were a little overweight like myself and have lost weight before. Also, I go to the gym and without the personal trainer, I'm usually clueless as to what is best for me.
I love cardio, but not sure what I should keep my heart rate at and how long I should do some machines and if it even helps me lose weight.
Just figured it was worth a shot here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Thanks in advance for any valuable advice.
Im 5'6'', 135lbs, I squat twice my body weight for reps and bench 40lbs over my body weight. Im also around 10% fat.im 20 5'10 250lbs i squat 400x10 bench 235x10 in 3 sets of 10 (most recent from this week.)
You are correct. I'm actually feeling a tad small now, I could use a bit more bulk.^^^ body type isnt skinny i take it
i didn't know caffeine did that-Run-Eat what you need in calories and no more
-Drink coffee and tea instead of soda. No calories (or small ammount if you add sugar) and caffiene boosts your metabolism.
-Dont eat fast food unless you must, if you must get a salad or chicken sandwich
Gyms are worthless unless you are trying to tone or bulk up. The only excersize you need if you are just trying to loose the flab is arobic exersize...running is cheap (almost free) and the best thing out there unless you can stand to swim for miles on end and have a place to do that....laps get boring after a while. The only benefit swimming has over running is it is easier on your joints...but running makes for healthier bones over time. You can also work up your heart rate for longer periods of time because it is a more natural motion.
for football would be the opposite. "skinny people cant live with em cant eat em" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifMe > Joo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
