Want to have $5 dollar a gallon gas?

I bet SB side steps your post just like he did all of mine.
Most likely, he'll say something how republicans **** again. Even though I don't know many people who will say they're republican, I sure as hell don't.

Climate change is a purely political issue. Those who insist it is actually a problem are just out of the loop. The joke's on them.

And because of those dumbasses, we may end up paying more taxes.

Actually you can't break things down between parties anymore as you have some democrats that are more conservative than some repube-icans. Then you have the progressive hacks that try to tell you everything they are trying to sell you is new and fantastic when it has been a no sale here for over 100 years until now..the whole basis is not progressive either it is regressive.

Flip: I'm going to respectfully disagree on the basis that, by definition, it is a moral issue. I do, however, wholeheartedly agree with you on the fact that it is expensive to save the Earth.
How is it a moral issue? I am not certain that even if global warming exists (and I am willing to say it might) the consequences are bad.

I don't think you can say wholeheartedly that's it's not a problem.

I think pollution in general is a problem, and it is our responsibility to produce as little waste as possible.

However, the for the government's purpose, climate change is being not used as a means of doing what's good for the environment. Uncle Sam is using climate change as an excuse to dig deeper into his constituents' pockets and personal lives. Thats more of our paychecks going to the government, thus further swelling its size, and reducing our liberty.

It takes money to reduce pollution. It seems like some of you want low pollution without paying for it. I am more realistic, I am okay with minimum standards for air and water quality if it's cheap.

and again, what is so free about this country? we mericans are constantly having to fight against congress for stuff we dont need/want. This is rediculous.
It's like that some odd millions of dollars they are making off gas everyday isnt good enough...fuck them!

There is so much wrong with this, I don't know where to begin.

Can't say it doesn't exist that I will agree but to say it is NEARLY as dramatic or man made as the global warming crowd will have you believe is another story all together. You should take a listen to Mark Levin talk about it, he actually was in the case and nothing about it was "scientific". They had the greenhouse gasses all broken down into percentages and the carbons are actually at a lower level now than they were a few years ago. It is also pretty amazing how the media tries to ignore him considering he has a number 1 best selling book, is a Constitutional lawyer and worked in the Reagan Administration. He is the president of the Landmark Legal Foundation (who litigated the case) and writes/researches for the Heritage Foundation. He also broke up the "special intrest groups" from the Carter years and many of those same people are special intrest groups for Obama. The big one that destroyed all of their records and reopened under many different names was VISTA.

I'm just saying, I think reducing pollution is good, but it is not the job of the US government. If people actually cared about the environment, they would personally invest in green technologies, such as hybrids or the reusable grocery bags (although I think those are a ploy, too... grocery stores want you to buy their reusable bags in order to save on their grocery bag costs.)
