Want to confirm that each channel can have a seperate ohm load

Very new here, first day, I know all the basics of car audio, but I'm expanding and starting to deal with different wiring styles etc.

Done a lot of searching on here/ google, and though my question was never answered directly, I got a feel for what the answer should be.

Basically I'm going from 2 amps (4 channel/mono) down to a single 5 channel amp.

The amp has the exact specs I'm looking for, but I would prefer to use the woofers channel at 2 ohms instead of 4.

So If I wire my subs to a 2 ohm impendance on the 5th channel, my other 4 channels will of course stay at 4 ohms correct?

You are wiring the speakers to an ohm load, not the amp. So therefore yes, whatever ohm you wire your speakers to, your amp will see. What makes you think that would change?

Nothing really, just wanted to confirm my theory.

It does seem like a rather dumb question now, but better safe than sorry. Thanks for the response.
