I was going to buy a 2 channel amp to power the speakers and a single channel for the sub, however someone mentioned in a different thread that a 4 channel amp could be used to accomplish this. The sub is 350 max rms and the speakers 100 rms a piece... what should I look for as for as specs for the 4 channel amp... if anyone has a recommendation for amp please share. Thanks.

Nice! Ok so could you recommend an amp so I could see the specs.... I'm not sure what to look for. Oh and misfit remember when I was going to go Alpine all the way well things have definetly changed since then. For now i'm still looking into getting the alpine deck but the new kenwood and pioneer may compete.

Cool. Budget for amp?

300... but would go more if necessary I want full power to ALL components, do the crossovers within the amp work just as well when bridging? Is there any cons to doing this or is this a common thing to do? If it is recommended to buy to seperate amplifiers I will but if this will work just as well then I'll do this.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with doing this. It's actually pretty smart if you aren't concerned with massive bass and just want a clean sounding little system.

There's a company called Crescendo that uses a very popular build house (same as Sundown, old RD Audio and DC). It doesn't have the exact specs that you're looking for, though. It'll do 125 watts x2 + 500 x1 @ 4 ohms. Those ID components should be just fine with the extra power and you'd be opening up the option of a more powerful sub. I haven't actually used this amplifier, but I have used the DC PAI-120.4 which is also a zenon design. Lots of people run zenon amps and complaints aren't heard very often.

Here's a link for the Crescendo: Crescendo Audio :: Amplifers :: 1000C4 4 Channel Amplfier

You could also take a look at the MB Quart DSC4125, which does 125 x2 + 500 x1 @ 4 ohms as well. This is an amplifier that I recommend to pretty much every person working on a tight budget. It's cheaper than the Crescendo, but it's not a bad amplifier by any means. I've installed this exact amp for quite a few people since it became a forum boner. None of those people have been disappointed.
