Want ****** minds!!! 6.5/6.75 Help and 5.25help??

I have two pairs of crescendo PWX's
Solid speakers that get loud and provide a decent amount of mid-bass.

Mine didn't get loud until I put at least 100 watts on them.

I'm still in the process of tuning my entire front stage. I don't think I've really reached their full potential quite yet.

I can't speak for any other speakers besides these but those new SSA Evil 6.5's are looking really sweet.
I see you using Ct sounds. How you like the amps? Must be ok, looks like you sporting 3 of them.

the evils need to be ran active, or provide your own passive crossover, correct? I dont see an xover with them on the ssa site

I have 5, they've treated me well.

My PWX's didn't come with any crossover. I have all my mids crossed at my HU.

my deck cant go active, so id either have to get a passive that has correct points for the drivers, or a new h/u thats active capable. The latter would sound TONS better and might be right around the same cost, provided i can sell my current h/u for a fair market price. Thanks for the info!

Yes, our SSA Evil 65's right now are meant for an active install or passive for home audio. We have a crossover being designed shortly and we could offer Evil components for a premium sound quality component set.

im not going to be in the market for new mids/tweets for a while yet, and might end up going active anyways since the sq is reportedly so much better (which i believe fully), but do you have an approx for the timeframe for the passive xovers? Im not gonna hold you to anything, just a rough ballpark would be cool

That is a good question, but at this time, I am not sure off hand as it could be a little bit to get them right.

Yes, the impact You speak of. Elemental Designs NINe.1 powering 2 Rockford Fosgate HX2 2212s at 1ohm, rough guess is 1300 watts. Crossed at 100hz. Sealed down fire box in 2007 ext cab Chevy. Playing around with app on my phone today showed 109db. Not sure if this is accurate. I'm really digging the way the EVILs are set up. Seems as good or better than most. Top choice so far. But still open to others
Will you be able to accommodate a 3" mounting depth?

Honestly I don't think it would be hard for them to make it where you use android auto AND your own music source. They made it able to do so...

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
