Want Loud, ED-K maybe?

Well i really dont know about all this ED K stuff, but i read a lot and they look pretty good. I want one 12, to invert in my regular cab s10, but i want it loud. Like really loud to where it hurts my ears, but i cant spend a lot like the XXX. I want to stay below 200 if i can. Say I went with the ED-K 12, would it be really loud in a sealed enclosure? And how many watts should i push? Thanks

ED K is more of o an SQL sub, where it sounds like you're looking for SPL only. RE SE maybe? but i think those are more SQL too, look at audiobahns.

I think the eD is a SQ driver from what I have read about it, it does better in smaller enclosed boxes or low tuned ported boxes. They get loud, but they retain their SQ....someone back me up

You can put them in a larger box, but they are made to work well in small enclosures and larger ones too! But I think I would go with a low tuned ported box.

For what you are looking for I would say take a look at the 12O. Might fit your needs better.

yea my 3 15 inch k's are loud too, they sound crappy when they are in the wall i got b/c its tuned to 45hz with 13-14cubes but they will rip ur head off, but for daily i got 2 of them in 7 cubes tuned to 32hz and they sound lovely

my 15" K is plenty loud for me, but it is ported. i think the K is the straddler of the sub world, meaning it shares good sq with good spl if applied right.

For the price they are alright but if looking for spl try the se or L7.

id get the SE's especially since ur looking for more SPL. especially in pick-up trucks subs are loud. I would get a 12 or 15" SE. that would be under 200 and it would be real loud. then get urself a JBL 600 or something.
