I'm going to be putting in some component speakers and I want your opinion. I'm looking to spend under $150 (maybe a little more) and will get an amp to match the speakers.

The sets I'm looking at right now are:

Boston Acoustics SX60

Boston Acoustics SL60

MB Quart ESA-216

MB Quart DSE-216

Pheonix Gold 400

Diamond Audio Hex S600S

Others considered. I'm going for SQ and don't really need to get real loud. I also like the sound of textile tweeters. This will be matched with a Diamond Audio D3 sub and Infinity Kappa Perfect's in the rear.

Which would you choose and why; also have you heard any of these and what do you think?

Of the ones you have on your list the Diamond Hex are by far the best. If you want a very nice set for around a hundred bux look up the Blaupunkt VC660. The yourself a favor and check them out.

Also look into Image Dynamics CTX65cs set for $179 shipped....I would stay away from the newer MB Quart stuff....especially if you like a more laid back tweeter....

check out the PPI's.......They are ADS under new ownership,no one here uses them but me

and they PWNED the previous HEX's I used to run as well as every other comp I had had previous
