Wall tuning

Alright, so after a series of unfortunate events I'm at a cross road. So long story short, I pulled the trigger on a walled setup for a competition called Noize 4 Toyz. It was this past weekend. However, knukonceptz' delivery choice of USPS destroyed that. Reason why that is important is as follows. My initial goal was numbers. The enclosure is tuned to 40 hz currently. However, if I add port length before I seal it up I can drop to around 35 Hz. Since I won't be competining in anything else for awhile I figured why not just focus on Demos. For hair tricks, is it possible at all if I'm tuned that high? I read somewhere that most people are only able to pull them in the 35 Hz and lower range. It's a b pillar wall with 7 alpine bass line 12s running on a vfl 150.1. 20.2 cubes net. Any advice on if I even need drop tuning would be greatly appreciated.

From the front. I'm gonna seal it off after I figure out what to do.

I thought about that, but one of the guys at my local shop was talking about standing waves. Of I cut the port area to 40x6 instead of 51.5x6 I'll have space in both corners. Should I worry about that at all?

block out the corners. It shouldnt be hard to make wooden rectangular prism inserts just to test how it sounds. Use silicone or something non permanent.

I'm already drawing out some interchangeable ports. The only problem I see were the corners. I should try to keep above 12 inches sq per foot right?

Update. Bracing failed. Had to take back wall out and redo. Any recommendations? Also, it's not as loud as I was expecting. Would that be because it's not walled off yet? Or because of bracing?

you need to completely seal it off. If the wall is flexing then you definitely need more bracing. Definitely Make the length longer and Maybe take out one of the subs and seal it off so that you have more cubic feet for each sub.

I figured as much. But I'm already giving the subs much more than the 2.5 cubes what alpine calls for. They're sitting in 20 cubes net after all displacements. Or were before I had to take stuff out.
