I'm voting HO alt with the 40.1 and only a couple of batts unless you only want to burp it or do 30sec demo's.

Glad to see this one still moving forward as it's one of the more complex or PITA wall builds I've seen. Should be worth the effort though...

What year of impala?? Be prepared to deal with some weight issues. I bought some spring locks for mine. They work good and are very cheap, like $30 for both sets.....

I have an '04 Malibu pretty similar to yours. So far issues I have dealt with are brakes and suspension. I fixed the suspension problem with spring locks. The brakes I still have not dealt with. I am going to have to check into ceramic pads or just bigger brakes all together. Problem with the brakes is they would heat up from all the added weight. They would decide to just not work sometimes

well I don't know wtf happened today but when i was coming home from lunch i took off from a red light and as it went to shift into 2nd it jumped real bad. man i hope my ****** isn't about to **** up on me.

im really gonna start taking it easy now.

Check the ****** fluid and filter......

As far as suspension problems the car was just bottoming out from all the weight. The car is rated for 990lbs I believe, but once you get about 500+ in it you will see what I am talking about.......

yea well there is probably about close to 400 now. i've used about 3.5 sheets of mdf and a sheet of birch. then the 2 97 lb batts, and lots of 1/0. still have the subs and amps to put it so it will be probably around 600.

im hoping for at least a 148 with the one 40.1.

and i don't seem to have any suspension problems yet, it still rides good. but the ****** thing this morning kinda scared me.

well i've got one of the 18's the other was damaged and im still waiting for it to arrive.

40.1 should be here tomorrow or monday.

tomorrow im gonna be installing the sundown 125.2 and the 2 pair of orion silk domes.

still need to run the 2 runs of + and - from under the hood to the batts in front of the wall which im dreading.

the wall will be finished this weekend
