Wall Design 4 15's. To small port? Need length help for tune

Finally found a second soundstream amp to power my drivers. So I can try my wall of 4 15's in 15 cubes tuned to 38hz. Problem is I dont have room for ALOT of port area.

Heres the design Ive got in mind, basic wall.

First I should say Im only using 1/2" MDF, I know its thin, but I get 1/2" for free, it gains me a good bit of room over 3/4' and will get me more port area, 1/2" period.

Box dimensions are 37.5" wide X 32" tall X 24" deep

The MAX port width I can fit is 6" (inside), and would be 31" tall (inside)

The port calc dont seem to work for this box, as they says to make it 5.97" deep, didnt sound right to me. Anyone have a better calc like winisd or something?

Ive also only got 186 sq in of port...... little more than 10/cube. Think I have enough?

Any input appreciated as I wanna start this in the morning

doesnt look like you can fit aeros either, what if you put the port on the side of the box, wouldnt you gain another 1/2" if you use the side of the box as a port wall.

2 WAY different answers on depth there

I never thought of putting the port all on one side, I guess I will do that 1 less piece of wood, but Ill need more up/down bracing in the center then I first imagined, I'll change the drawing I posted. I can def fit 6" wide port then on the drivers side, giving me 186" of port

And the subs are AQ SDC 2.5's. They will be getting about 700rms each

And yes, bracing will be done via 1/2" threaded rod, Ive got 15' of it!!!

If you must use 1/2" mdf in order to make it fit, you dont have enough room. Downsize.

If you are using 1/2" mdf just because you get it free, laminate two pieces together and make it out of 1" thick mdf. Trying to build a high powered wall out of 1/2" mdf is just plain silly. I dont care how much bracing you plan on doing, its a lousy idea.

useing 900 watts and 6 pr 12's i was able to easyly flex 3/4'' and 1.5'' mdf even after i used the 5/8th inch threaded rod. If your gonna use 1/2" your going to need more then 15 feet of T rod.

x2 either build a proper enclosure for 2-3 subs or don't waste your time making so many compromises just to make it all fit. You'll be less then thrilled with the results...

I know its not a great idea because "ive read" that but Ive never tried myself to make one out of 1/2" and I can get 2 sheets for free so Im going to try it, all ways 1/2" with just some bracing and fiberglassed 45's in the corners. I'll see where it gets me

I just cant figure out how deep to make this 31"X6" port, in a box thats 15 cubes before port displacement for 38hz

Id really just like to try 1/2", cause I wanted 15 cubes and a basic square box with no odd shapes and that box size is as big as I can possibly fit and its gonna be SNUG. Im not spending any money on this setup other than the new amp, as I have all these 15's in my garage just sitting doing nothing, box or build wont cost me a penny. Ill probly have it out in a month.

Hell I just put my current setup in 2 weeks ago (single 15 external port)

I just like playing around

You will need MORE then 2 sheets for a 15cube enclosure and a TON of bracing for the longer panels....
