I bought the Wal Mart wiring kit but have a couple of questions. First is the 80 amp fuse going to be good enough. I dont know if it matters whats going to be running off of it but I will tell you. I have the Visonik 1000 watt amp and in a couple months I will get probably get the ED Nine.1. Next question is that the 4 guage power wire is silver. This means Its not copper right, Which means it is inferior. Am I correct.

copperis a metal not a color. it probably is copper.

If the wire is "silver" color, than it is not copper. Copper is naturally "copper" color and it would actually cost them money to change the color, or "plate it" (why would they do that??). The wire you bought is aluminum, and is rated pretty much the same as copper. The only real differences between aluminum and copper is conductivity vs. length. If you aren't running the wire 50' then they should both be about the same. You'd be surprised to see how much wire within your vehicle is aluminum, it's much cheaper and a little softer so it's easier to work with. Copper is no doubt the best, but aluminum works. I have seen copper wire cores that are aluminum plated, which does cost less, so that may be what it is too. The package will tell you.

The wire you bought has a silver coating (possibly solder) on the end. It is a high strand count copper cable. It is actually a very good grade of wire...If it is the same one that I have used.

I bought a kit there along time ago and the wire was aluminum. Hopefully you guys are right and they are making them better now. I haven't bought an amp "kit" in a long time.
