why not try to buy a 6" center cone **** cap from incriminator audio that they use on their 21" dp's. you could be the only one with a W7 with a ****.

not a bad idea but i have to measure the hole and how far the cracks go

I'd cut it as close to the surround as possible and call it a day. I believe there is a regular dust cap underneath.

I have a 12" JL w7 that doesn't work. Physically, it looks fine. The cone is fine. I'd imagine something went wrong with the voice coil. Maybe if you combined my sub with yours, you would have one working sub.
