Well I posted this in the enclosure section and got like 26views and no responses. I figured I would post a smaller version of the question here and see what kind of replies I get.
My friend has a 2006 dodge charger with a eD nine.1 amp and 12L7's right now.....
He just purchased a 12w7 and I would like to know what size and tuning would be best for him.
This will be powered by the nine.1 @ 3ohm. So I figure around 500-750Wrms....
Also, he mainly listens to Rap and would like it too be loud more than SQ. I would say 65spl/35sq, even though I'm sure the w7 wouldn't sound too terrible unless it was in a really crappy box. I was thinking that a 35hz tuning sounded about right but I would like any recommendations.
JL's recommends a 1.75cu box tuned at 32hz. Around the net I have seen them in many different sized enclosures and would like to know what size and tuning you would recommend for his specific application.
