w6v2 sealed or ported

i currently have a 12w6v2 sealed what is the difference if i get a ported box? i have a 4runner so there isnt a sealed trunk.

what kind of amp do you 2 have on it?? when i had mine i ahd 750 watts on it, and it was loud and very clean
