W6 help

Im looking at getting rid of my type s and replacing it with possibly 2 12'' W6's and I was looking into buying the ProrWedge from JL or buying 2 W6's and getting a dual vented enclosure about 1.5cf/chamber. And getting 2 500/1 amps from JL for them. Just curious as to your opinions or if anyone has any luck with the W6 Pro Wedge.Thanks

2 12" w6v2's will hit very nice and loud, i couldnt tell you how good that box is, but usually the best bet is to get a custom box built. Pick your own dimensions, tuning frequency, airspace, finish etc. and get it for cheaper than prefab! Just shoot me a PM if you need anything done. I would also just grab a 1000/1 unless theres a particular reason you want 2 500/1's. 1 amp is always easier to deal with than 2.

Series and parallel. Wire the voice coils on each sub in series to get a pair of 8ohm subs then wire those parallel. That will give you a 4 ohm load to the 1000/1.

i believe the amp would put out the same amount of power at 1 ohm and 4 ohms. series or parallel will work.
