VW Jetta Front Speaker Problems

Im new at the car audio thing and i just installed my new clarion DXZ545MP Head uniit and i got no sound out of my front speakers. I do however get sound from my tweeters which are in the front dash of the car. These speakers have been kicked around a few times between opening the doors with feet so it is possible that they are broken but i was just curious if i need to fix any wiring or do anything to get the factory speakers to work. I plan on replacing the speakers anyway but i want to make sure that the new ones will work before buying them. Any help that anyone can offer is much appreciated. Thanks.

they are either bad... not connected... or they are amped off the factory amp and you didn't hook up the blue/white amp turn on wire in the harness

how do i go about finding out whether or not it has the internal amp and what do i do to solve it do i have to buy another amp

pull the radio out... and see if you put it and connected the blue/white remote wire
