Does anyone know where to find the vss wire on a 2003 Ford F150 supercrew 5.4L . I need to find it for my Pioneer AVIC-N2. Will be installing it tuesday. Thanks in advance.

Ehh, its been a while. It's a possibility it is at the BCM. I'll see if I can get it for ya. Im not at work today, so I don't have access to directwire, but ill try and get it for ya soon.

I had a ford mechanic say it was on the drivers side of the rear of the transmission. Anyone know for sure? Alpineinstaller said that it was a green and white wire at the coil on the passenger side between the injectors. I am just wanting to know so i can install my radio. Since someone stole my other one on my birthday. Happy birthday to me huh? Oh well I guess that is why we have insurance.

The green and white wire sounds more like a tachometer wire than a vss wire.

vss=vehicle speed sensor? either that or its the low voltage supply to a mosfet (the sink pin)...but I'm gonna go with vehicle speed sensor.

yes it is the speed sensor wire. I am just wondering where this little wire is and what color it is.

Have you checked http://www.the12volt.com? they have a bunch of wiring color codes for different installs.

A haynes repair manual (Advance auto / autozone has em) has some schematics in the back, you might be able to find it there.
