seems like the db drive wins. found out its repaired by kenon elec. calling tomorrow to find out if its a korean board

No brainer. The DB Drive is the only amp out of all 3 that even does rated power.

on the DB drive if i'm looking at the right one on sonicelectronix it says the maximum input gauge size is 4 ga...

I could just be reading it wrong, or maybe its a typo. just wondering whats up with that?

Very true, all the BS's i've seen for the BB2400 say they do around 2100 at 14.4

i know the db drives are beast. i didnt know if it would put out more then the rubi. im not running a 15+ volt system. will the db drive put out more

then the rubi say at like 13v(mine stays around 13v @ full tilt)?

I doubt it, for 280 bucks, you can't expect too much, I've got my rubi, and I'm not really expecting it to do much more than 2200.

I wish companies would start benching their amps at 12-13.5v seeing as that's where most people rest during normal usage. I feel like people would seriously appreciate an honest wattage rating.

Tony, if you have money, why not save for a little, you have a system, no need to rush headfirst into the next upgrade. You could pick up an AQ2200 used for like 100 more dollar and you'd have an amp that does rated pretty much without question, you could probably pick up an SAZ2500 for 400-450 used too. I'd rather have that since since you are into competing you could wire it down for burps.
