AMP?

that would help big time finding a amp.
Exactly, I don't see why people would say their amps are 2000w amps when their specs go like this:

1500 at 12v @ 1ohm

2000 at 14.4v @ 1ohm

Why not advertise it as a 1500w amp? People would fall in love with it because it's overrated, and if you're not an idiot and have a web-based company, you could stand to make alot of sales just because you're not trying to squeeze every last watt out of your power ratings.

ok between the db & rubi for 13v which would you choose if i may ask
I don't know anything about the db, so I honestly couldn't tell you. I wouldn't purchase either and expect them to do full power. I'm not saying they're bad amps, just saying their power ratings are unrealistic and neither of those amps will ever do their RMS without clipping, under normal circumstances. They'll come close, but just not quite there. You're only looking at a couple hundred watts, so it's really not a big deal.

i actually found that db is rated @ 12.6(idk how true this is). and i saw bench results from some who had it. benched out 2490 @ 1 ohm, with rise to 1.77, @ 12.9v

Impressive! If you could find that again and poast I'd love to read it. If that's true then it's really not a hard decision between the amps he's considering.

I've been one to cheap out on amps, but after a while I realized its worth it to save up for quality ones, mainly because of efficiency. I'm dying for an aq 2200 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I wish I had the budget to buy a nicer amp than my rubi, but if I don't buy now, I have to wait another 3 months before I can buy stuff again, so I'd rather have bass than not.

well see here is the other thing. i need it before march. and i need it to test well before that. the db drive is the one ill end up with. and i will get 2. one at a time . im just curious as to where the board is made.

Totally know what you mean, I'm not bashing on anybody for getting budget amps. You do what you can. Better something than nothing, lol.
