When I turn the volume up on my 2010 Chevy equinox factory radio it goes to 1 then back to 0 and back and forth without going any higher?? Help!!!

do you have steering wheel controls, can you turn it up this way?
apparently this is a thing
"Or, go under settings, radio settings, and see what the max volume is checked on it."
