if i put the volume too high my amp/subs automatically turn off. why is this? i have a new battery. my system is 2 pioneer 4 ways in front, 2 mtx components in back, Dual - 460W 2-Channel Bridgeable MOSFET Amplifier - XAF460, Dual - 10 Single-Voice-Coil 1000W Bandpass Subwoofer System - XB210D, sony 40x4 headunit. thank you.

Amps go into protect when they are running unstable. Perhaps your wire isnt supplying enough power, i suggest 4 ga. Also make sure all your connections and Ground wires are tighten fastened into your chassis or else vibration can cause the amp to kick into protect because a loose groundwire breaks the contact point momentarly.

thats why your amp goes into protect, so nothing gets hurt and saves you from blowing a fuse every time it gets unstable. but no nothing should be harmed when it goes into protect.

also check your resistance load, my amp was doing the same thing because i accidently hooked my subs up in parallel, which dropped the resistance level below what it was supposed to be, which will also make your amp go into protect
