for the last god **** time buy or find someone with a dmm and read instructions on the internet on how to use it.Okay so the voltage is incorrect do I need to change the gains or what I mean how do I fix it
You no at first i was going to have mine professionally installed but I keep seeing **** like this so i might install my setup myself now lolYeah the audio shop didn't do that they just turned the volume up and turned the gain up by ear
believe it or not most shops don't set gains properly the idiot in town always turns them all the way up, and the bass boost all the way up, he told me "this way you get the most out of your amps" i haven't returned since.Yeah the audio shop didn't do that they just turned the volume up and turned the gain up by ear

Basically your average rip off shop is like this. Most shops that are only into the mainstream scene tend to do everything wrong on installs.believe it or not most shops don't set gains properly the idiot in town always turns them all the way up, and the bass boost all the way up, he told me "this way you get the most out of your amps" i haven't returned since.
My kenwood clips after 26-27depending on what hu you have they normally clip at volumes before you think they would for example most alppines clip at 22 so you should never turn the volume past 21, most pioneers clip at 41 or 38 depending on models, and every jvc i have ever tested clipps at 34

ok, never had a decent kenwood (not that it matters) if you are wondering it is really easy to find out if you can get ahold of somebody with an o scope, otherwise take a speaker that you don't give a **** about and play a test tone through the one speaker as you turn it up you will hear a definite "tone" change its usually 1-2 volume levels below that change where your hu will begin to clip.My kenwood clips after 26-27
I never go above 25 anyways I always like to stay on the safe side. Yeah and all of the lower end kenwoods really **** *** but the excelon line is real nice.ok, never had a decent kenwood (not that it matters) if you are wondering it is really easy to find out if you can get ahold of somebody with an o scope, otherwise take a speaker that you don't give a **** about and play a test tone through the one speaker as you turn it up you will hear a definite "tone" change its usually 1-2 volume levels below that change where your hu will begin to clip.
its not just that easy....................to find the clippng level without an oscope or distortion detectoer take the hu out, and use the internal amp, and just run one speaker out and play a 45-50 hertz test tone, the tone differance is very noticable after a certain point, once you find where your hu starts to clip then you can set your amplifier with a ddm at that volume level, using the same tone.So I can't just turn it up till the the subs stop getting louder then turn it back down a little
yeah i almost got my hands on one of there best ones a year back but the guy ended up wanting to much.I never go above 25 anyways I always like to stay on the safe side. Yeah and all of the lower end kenwoods really **** *** but the excelon line is real nice.
I apologize if I came off as a douche, just finished my homeworkIts a jvc I don't have any spare speakers and I dont know how to play test tones I'm pretty noobish at this and I can tell y'all are getting irritated and I'm not trying to irritate you guys
