Hey Guys, Noob here reporting for duty.
Well last nigth I finally got around to building my sub box. Its a 1.9 cu ft sealed enclosure. Its housing an Inifity 1030w 10" sub. (250rms 1000peak, 4ohm SVC) Driving it is an Infinity 310a amp (116w X 1 at 4 ohm, 311w X 1 at 2ohm). In all four corners are Infinity 5002i 5.25" coxaial drivers
The head unit is an Alpine CDA-9811. Everything sounds fabulous, nice an deep lows, very smooth. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif
The problem is that I have to have the amp cranked, max boost, max input level, and +15 sub on the head unit in order for the sub to play at the same volume as the rest of the system. I know that having the gain on the amp turned all the way up all the time is not good for it, hence me not wanting to do it.
The amp has a two channel output, even though its only a mono amp. Right now, i'm just hooked up to one side (one +ve, one -ve) of the amp. Would briding these connections do anything for my problem? (As in sub to +ve, -ve to +ve, then -ve to sub)
If you guys have any other suggestions, or things I sould check, please tell me!
Thanks a bunch, you guys are much more mature than other stupid car forums on the inet!
