Voltage drop:(

haha i know man its all good no big:D. Im gonna go re-check all my grounds make sure none came loose maybe from that BEAST vibrating things in my truck haha also gonna get a fuse holder so i can do pos from alt to pos on battery & also im going to be replace my aluminum buss barrs to copper:D.

Well guy's i went and checked all my grounds , connections , wiring etc... there all good all reading's are right with the fluke dmm i used in class. I then did a clamp test on the alt i fig the problem guy's was trying to avoid the alt but that's what it is:(. I mean it's doing what its supposed to do clamped it at 103amps for a 95amp alt engine was reved at 1500to2000rpms to get that reading. So now it's time to save up for a better alt or get this one rebuilt. ThX to everyone who helped me

13.5 is not bad at all, if thats all you have your in good shape. Also HID headlight conversions help fix dimming. Normally id say fix the real problem before installing them , but 13.5 v is not enough drop to hurt anything.

Ok bro once I turn vol up to 24 . It will drop and voltage will literally jump around 14.6v , 14.5 then turn up 20vol 26 lets see (doing now while driving) will drop to about 14.2v sitting at light though at idle it will do 13.5v at vol 26. The hu being used is a alpine 9887. But if u play like a hard hitting song like let's say grippin da grain - bonecrushers or something like that it will drop to liek 12.4 sometimes while driving and the vol is at like 26.

If its getting down to 12.4, that means its getting down to the battery voltage, in my experience that is a easy sign that your alt cant keep up with the demand, id definitely do a alternator upgrade.

if I understand this correct you still have NOT completed the big 3 your + battery cable to ALT has not been done? that could be your problem PLUS alt not putting out enough to keep battery charged. GET that cable hooked up and let us know how it goes thats a HECK of a lot cheaper than a new HO alt.
