Voltage at amp terminal questions

I have a hifonics bxi1206d amp with 4 gauge power/ground wires. My vehicle is a 1998 chevy 1500 truck, only electrical mod is an everstart 850cca battery. Playing at full power with a 1 ohm load, voltage stays around 13.7 at the amp's terminals. Is that good? I used my dmm on my friend's amp terminals, a hifonics bxi1606d running at 1 ohm, and his would drop to 11 volts at full power, with some expensive capaciter, 4 gauge, on stock ford ranger electrical. Seems low! Why the big difference? How many volts does everyones amp see at the terminals? I want to know, stock or modded electrical.

13.7 at full volume is very good.

With nothing but a better battery you're good at 13.7...I have a 260amp alt and I'm seeing 14.3

Doesn't the 1606 have 0/1 inputs? Your friends stock alt is more than likely smaller than yours and the amp is pulling in it hard...a better battery and a big 3 upgrade should help that a little...and get rid of the cap
