Because there is strong evidence that former participants turn to crime or drug dealing as a way to recover lost income.how about lowering the welfare payout...also i thought they passed the 36 month maximum welfare benefits law a few years ago...yet i know some who have been on it for 10+ years
I see. But I am thinking there is a strong relationship between the family ties and lack of inventive. Say a particular person had a job opportunity earning a living wage with the caveat that it was 500 miles away. I believe cultures with weaker family ties would be more likely to take the job versus cultures with stronger family ties. If one declined the job based on location, it could potentially keep them impoverished if the skill that was desired 500 miles way was plentiful in their present location.now i do agree with the fact that welfare gives them no incentive...i'm just saying that they don't not move because of family...they don't move because as you have stated they have no incentive to.
I find it interesting when I hear anecdotes in response to welfrae benefits. When others recieve them, the amounts are typically great. When the poster is referring to themselves it is always minimal. I wonder if "gaming the welfare system" is a skill, like construction, denistry, etc.when i had 4 mouths to feed and only made 10.25 an hour, we applied for public assitance...not cash from welfare, but basically food stamps. They told us that if i were to collect $190 a month in food stamps, they wanted me to mow lawns for low-income housing projects 60 hours a month....so they wanted me to work an extra 60 hours a month for $3.17 an hour for people who were on low-income subsidy. I told them that for thawt amount of money i could just get a second job......they looked me and said "bingo"...i almost lost it.
true enough....just like there are no all white colleges in america.....by law they have to accept minorities. Yet they allow all black colleges....how is that?well the thing is there isnt just one welfare program out there there is multiple.....its not even about shopping around and finding the best one...its about getting them all...and lets face it...when you are a minority is easier on you....because we can't be ..."racist" ...the other night a saw the NAACP awards on tv...what would happen if we had a NAAWP and were giving out awards???....heh it would get labeled the new age KKK and we would generate so much heat
haha imaginary rights....what exactly do you mean by that???.....and i'm not neccessarily concerned that their group is getting them benifits that i neccessarily want ...all i am saying is that it is a complete double standard......and um i guess i will excecise my "imaginary right" to make my opinion on that.Concerning yourself with the imaginary rights of one group that are not afforded to another is the beginning of the end of intelligent conversation.
You do bring up a good point, but a guy in a suit and tie has never robbed anyone of their physical life. I'll take white collar crime over death any day.I'm more worried about the white guys with suits and ties...LOL! When they hit us they hit us in the BILLIONS and TRILLIONS. Look at the S&L scandal during the Reagan presidency. That was a $500 billion dollar deal. How many car audio units would minorities have to steal to equal that? If the average aftermarket car stereo system was $1000 (and I'm figuring high, so bear with me), they would need to steal 500 million units. There's not that many cars on the entire continent of North America...LOL! The US has around 243 million cars in case you want to know.

The best way to rob a bank is to own one...LOL! You get the high and mighty all connected, then let them pay less than a penny on the dollar for legislation that favors them when they buy their political favors to get the most corrupt system of all. Democracy is the best government money can buy!
The black thug looks menacing. The white guy in the suit and tie is who's gonna getcha.
