Voice coil size?

I was wondering if voice coil size really made a difference in SPL or SQ?

The reason I was asking is b/c the DD 1500 12" has a 2inch coil.

Do you think that is an spl sub or sq?

I'm sure its made for SQ so I guess it wouldn't get as loud as a sub with a larger coil at the same wattage.

there is alot more to it coil size dosent directly refer to sq or spl. a 2" coiled sub can be for eather and urs being a DD is geared more toward spl...
